Amazfit has just announced a new smartwatch series under its Performance lineup, aptly named ‘Cheetah’. Comprising the Amazfit Cheetah Pro and Amazfit Cheetah, read on to find out more about the new smartwatches.

First up, the Cheetah Pro is the more premium of the two that Amazfit said is for “elite runners who want to optimise their performance. It has a circular design with a titanium alloy bezel and a middle frame made out of fire-reinforced polymer to keep it lightweight.

The Cheetah Pro also comes with a sweat-wicking nylon strap similar to the GTR4 and has a button and crown on its right side. The screen is a 1.45-inch AMOLED panel with a resolution of 480 x 480 pixels and can go as bright as 1000 nits.

The smartwatch also has MaxTrack GPS technology which uses a dual-band GPS to pick up almost 100 per cent of satellite signals and reduces multi-path interference caused by tall buildings and trees for more accurate positioning. It also supports six satellite positioning systems for reliable coverage.

Of course, health-tracking features are also present, including sleep tracking, stress monitoring, blood-oxygen level monitoring and heart-rate tracking. It runs on Zepp OS 2.0 with support for 100+ apps, 150+ sports modes and an AI-powered Zepp coach and an AI Chat chatbot in certain countries.

Other notable specs include WLAN 2.4GHz, Bluetooth 5.3, a 440mAh battery which can last up to 14 days with typical use, 5 ATM water resistance, a microphone and a speaker. With the latter, you can use the Cheetah Pro for music playback, Amazon Alexa and Bluetooth phone calls.

Moving towards the Cheetah, it will be offered in either round or square, though only the round version’s specs have been revealed. These include a 1.39-inch AMOLED panel with a resolution of 454 x 454 pixels with a fibre-reinforced polymer bezel and a liquid silicone strap.

Unlike the pro version, the Cheetah has no microphone or speaker, hence no support for Bluetooth phone calls. There’s also no WiFi connectivity.

The Cheetah is available in Speedster Gray colour while the Cheetah Pro is offered in Run Track Black colour. In the United States, the Cheetah is priced at USD230 or ~RM1070 while the Cheetah Pro is USD300 or ~RM1395. As of the time of writing, Amazfit has yet to reveal its availability in Malaysia.
