What was really interesting?

While the processor listed was Apple A4, the tablet's processor and chipset are clearly by Intel, making it an x86 based tablet. It also is hopefully running a full blown version of Windows 8 (which recently got its hardware requirements lowered) which is very likely considering that Windows RT only runs on ARM based processors. However, the most interesting detail was the price listing of $379.99 (knowing Amazon, this price would likely go down further in time). Since the only other Windows 8 based tablet is the Surface Pro (which comes in at $899 or RM2728) not many people have been buying. The Acer Iconia W3's smaller size and much smaller price tag may be enough to convince those looking to buy an Android based tablet to look for a Windows 8 based alternative. It may also be the turning point necessary to making Windows 8 successful with the growing tablet market.
