An e-hailing driver is charging passengers extra fees if they want to use air cond

In case you missed it, a Malaysian passenger uploaded an image on Twitter X showing his disbelief. The image shows an e-hailing driver with his cardboard showing additional charges for using the vehicle's air conditioner.

On the cardboard, the sign reads different levels of air cond fan speeds have different prices. Level 1 costs RM20, although it's unclear what it means with "6 seater free", level 2 is RM25 and finally, level 3 RM30. The vehicle itself already has basic air cond provided but only at the front which is the passenger's seat.

Of course, this didn't take long for X users to react negatively. According to BFM News, many have called the related e-hailing company to investigate this behaviour. It was not known which e-hailing service the driver belonged to, but another image by @MALAYSIAVIRALLL said it was a Grab driver.

This act of service reminds us of how AirAsia charges its customers with additional add-ons and others. Anyway, we are pretty sure that it goes against the company's policy. Still, quite amusing news to read.
