You probably have heard of stories about an iPhone surviving the odds. Whether if it was underwater or falling from the skies, this story is about the latter. According to a short experience shared by dmloftus from an aviator forum, his iPhone X actually survived a drop from an altitude 11,000 feet above.

Now, before you put on your sceptic glasses - the iPhone X wasn't naked as it was protected in an Otterbox Defender series case. But that's just part of the miracle since the user also found his iPhone laying on a soy dirt heap. With these two combinations, it's no wonder the iPhone X was still alive but regardless, it was indeed a stroke of extreme luck for these two best possible scenarios to happen.

How did the phone drop out of the plane in the first place? According to the pilot, the plane that he was planing - the DA40 features a large plexiglass canopy and a small side window that can be opened. So during a flight from Colorado Springs to Atlanta, the pilot couldn't help himself but take a photo of the clouds below him and...you know the rest.

Another piece of miracle was that after landing, the pilot even managed to locate his iPhone X via the Find My iPhone app. After more than an hour of finding it in a soybean field, the iPhone X didn't have any scratches and could still turn on after charging. It would have been a whole different story if it fell on a concrete floor.
