Android 10 will be the new name of Android Q

Instead of naming the Android Q after a yummy dessert, Google threw everything we knew about their Android operating system naming scheme out the window and settled with Android 10 instead. Not only that, it seems that subsequent Android operating systems in the future will have a numerical identifier instead an alphabetical order we’re all familiar with.

It seems that the reason for this change is to make it easier for users across the globe, to quickly understand which version of Android is installed into their smartphone devices. But those were not the only changes, as the logo too has been given a slight makeover too with a slightly different colour scheme over a dark background.

If all goes well, we could see the new Android operating system make it debut somewhere around late August to early September 2019.
