The biggest advantage of larger screens is the ability to fit more apps. For mobile devices, this applies to tablets and some foldable phones. A taskbar greatly helps users with managing apps, so it's great to see Google considering an upgrade there.
Earlier today, we reported that Google was experimenting with a Gemini button on the lock screen in an Android 15 beta version. Well, that's not the only feature spotted in Android 15 QPR1 Beta 2. According to Android Authority, the beta version also has a new taskbar that shows recently used apps instead of suggested apps.

Mind you, this isn't actually a new feature. Some brands already have this feature implemented in devices, such as the Samsung Galaxy Tab S10 Ultra or the OnePlus Pad 2. However, other manufacturers can directly implement this feature once Google adds it to Android tablets.
The release date for this update is unknown, but it could arrive soon with some newer devices. We'll update you once we know more, so stay tuned to TechNave.com for more news on the latest mobile tech and devices.
