Anthropic recently announced that non-US users are now allowed to use Claude Fable 5 and Mythos 5 AI models after the previous cut from the US. The rollout will be done in stages so don’t panic if you don’t have access just yet.
Why was it cut again?
The US wasn’t very forthcoming about their ‘Security Concerns’ but the general speculation is that other GenAI platforms were perhaps using the new models to help make theirs better. Of course this does not mean that it has been confirmed yet, but one assumption that we can make from this is that the guardrails to stop such a thing in the first place have been approved by the US.
We’ve received notice that the Department of Commerce has lifted export controls on Claude Fable 5 and Mythos 5.

We'll begin restoring access tomorrow, and will share an update soon.
We’re grateful to our users for their patience, and to everyone who worked with us on…
What do you think? Were you a non-US or Malaysian user looking to try out Claude Fable 5 or Mythos 5? Do you think we may soon see some more "non-US user" type cuts for other AI platforms from the US? Share your thoughts in the comments below and stay tuned to TechNave.com
