Yesterday, we reported on Google has deleted all the apps of the AnTuTu benchmarking platform from Google Play Store due to repeated policy violations by its parent company Cheetah Mobile. But today, Antutu has clarified the company is not related to Cheetah Mobile.
According to the source, Global Marketing Manager of Antutu, Amelie Liu mentioned Antutu is the earliest Google Play developer that was founded in 2011 before Cheetah Mobile. Cheetah Mobile is one of the shareholders since 2014 but the company still remain its independent operation of the company as well as an independent Google Play account. Furthermore, Antutu has never done any promotion of Cheetah Mobile’s software.

The company believes the reason behind Google’s misjudgment is due to the usage of the legal services from Cheetah Mobile that they purchased and the link addressed used for the privacy policy. Antutu is currently now working on and changing the legal supplier in the hope of Google will look into it carefully and resolve the misunderstanding soon.
With that said, Antutu Benchmarking apps may be returning soon in Google Play Store if they manage to resort to the current issue. But do you think both companies are related? Do let us know at our Facebook page and stay tuned for more news updates on TechNave.com!
