For those who are curious about what apps performed best last year, App Annie has released a report for it called State of Mobile 2020. This time around, Facebook is the big winner having four of its apps listed in the Top Apps Ranking. They are Facebook Messenger (1st), Facebook (2nd), WhatsApp Messenger (3rd), and Instagram (5th).
Besides info like most downloaded apps or games, App Annie's report also summarised other mobile data collected last year to create a report that aims to provide some insights. For example, it mentioned that smartphone users spent an average of about 3 hours and 40 minutes per day on their phones last year. It also predicts that the mobile games market will hit spending of USD 100 billion (~RM406 billion), while companies could spend more than USD 240 billion (~RM976 billion) on mobile advertising in 2020.

To most of us, these insights may just be fun info to know about. But if you find it useful, you could download the full report. That said, how many of you want to read more news like this? Do let us know on our Facebook page and stay tuned to TechNave.com for other news.
