Do you still remember the overpriced Apple AirPods that the company introduced last year? You know, those wireless Bluetooth earbuds that the Internet made fun of for being “ridiculous” and a rip-off. Well, we just go some news today that Apple customers who got their hands on it are actually positively satisfied.

A survey conducted by Experian and Creative Strategies, the survey was voted by 942 AirPods owners. 82% were “very satisfied” and 16% was “satisfied”. Which is shown at the graph below:

This is also the highest record ever according to Creative Strategies about customers being satisfied of an Apple product, followed by Apple Watch in 2015 (97%), and both iPhone 3G and iPad (2010) tied at 92%. In addition, 75% of AirPods owners also voted that they would recommend the product to others.

"We used a standard benchmark question called a Net Promoter Score, which ranks a consumer's willingness to recommend the product to others. This ranking is on a scale of 0 to 10 with 10 being extremely likely to recommend and 0 being not likely at all to recommend. It was this number that surprised me. Apple's Net Promoter Score for AirPods came back as 75. To put that into context, the iPhone's NPS number is 72. Product and NPS specialists will tell you anything above 50 is excellent and anything above 70 is world class." - said Creative Strategies

Customers were also asked to list down what they like about the AirPods, this includes “magic, fit, sound quality, convenient, love, good sound, and battery life”, as well as “simple pairing process, and the convenience of a wireless experience”. As for the cons, surprisingly it’s not about losing the earbuds but more on the issues with fit and connectivity.

Apple AirPods is still being listed RM849 in Apple Malaysia website, so there’s still something to think about before actually purchasing it. But what do you think? Know anyone who actually got AirPods? Stay tuned for more Apple news at TechNave.com.
