Apple App Store now features monthly subscription payments for a year

Recently, Apple announced a 12-month subscription, but paid monthly. This means the cost of a year's subscription is spread over 12 months at a lower cost. That said, what should you know about it?

 

An easier way to track your subscription on the App Store

For your information, customers will be reminded of how much time remains on their subscription and the associated payment commitment. If you cancel your one-year subscription before the agreed term ends, you will still have to pay for it until it runs out.

Additionally, failure to pay the monthly commitment will result in the service no longer being accessible. This feature is enabled for all global users except in the United States and Singapore on devices using the operating systems iOS 26.4, iPadOS 26.4, macOS Tahoe 26.4, tvOS 26.4, and visionOS 26.4 and above.
