Apple HomePod Mini clears SIRIM certification - Malaysia release coming soon?

If you are an Apple gadgets fan, this news might excite you. Recently, the Apple HomePod Mini has been spotted on SIRIM’s database. That said, what should you know about it?

For your information, this device was released in 2020 but it is exclusive to countries that have Apple Store. So, Malaysian fans was initially disappointed with the news. However, that might change with the future opening of Apple Store at the TRX this February.

According to SIRIM, the device sports a main driver, two passive radiators for a 360-degree audio. It could run the Apple S5 chip, a tether to two HomePod Minis for stereo settings and an Apple U1 chip for the Handoff function. The device is also very travel-friendly, coming at only 3.3-inch.

The Apple HomePod Mini could cost you $90 (~RM460). Based on Apple track record, we could expect the device to cost you less than RM500. Reportedly, the device might arrive this February during the opening of Apple Store at the TRX.
