Besides the MacBook Pro, the new Mac mini is also now available on the Apple Malaysia website store online. To refresh your memory, the starting price is RM2499 and there are three different models to choose from for the Malaysian market.
To recap, the RM2499 Mac mini features an M2 processor, 8GB of Unified memory and 256GB of SSD storage. For higher memory models, you can get either the 8GB + 512GB or 16GB + 512GB (M2 Pro) variant at the price of RM3299 and RM5599 respectively. Customers also don't need to wait that long, as the shipping duration takes 5-7 business days.
The Mac mini is a perfect device for content creators who are into heavy video production on the go, as it allows you to edit huge image files and 8K ProRes videos at 30 fps. Moreover, Apple also claims that the Mac mini is capable of running AAA games like No Man's Sky and Resident Evil Village.
Connectivity-wise, the M2 model offers 2x Thunderbolt ports and support for up to 2 displays while the M2 Pro model offers 4x Thunderbolt ports and support for up to 3 displays. The M2 Pro model can also support one 8K display as well. Both models feature 2x USB-A ports, 1x HDMI port, 1x Gigabit Ethernet port with a 10GB option, and 1x upgraded headphone jack. Both support WiFi 6E and Bluetooth 5.3.
