Apple has announced the new MacBook Air for Malaysia, featuring the M4 chip, up to 18 hours of battery life, a 12MP Centre Stage camera, and a lower starting price of RM4,499. The refreshed model now supports up to two external displays, at least 16GB of unified memory, and runs on macOS Sequoia with Apple Intelligence. It is available in two sizes – 13-inch and 15-inch – and introduces a new sky blue colour alongside midnight, starlight, and silver.

The MacBook Air is powered by Apple's new M4 chip, featuring a 10-core CPU and up to a 10-core GPU. Apple claims it is up to twice as fast as the M1 MacBook Air and up to 23 times faster than Intel-based models. The device supports up to 32GB of unified memory and has a high-performance Neural Engine for AI-based tasks.

For connectivity, the MacBook Air includes Wi-Fi 6E, Bluetooth 5.3, MagSafe charging, two Thunderbolt ports, and a 3.5mm headphone jack. The Liquid Retina display reaches up to 500 nits of brightness and supports a billion colours. Apple has also added a 12MP Centre Stage front camera, which automatically adjusts framing during video calls.

With macOS Sequoia, the MacBook Air offers new AI-powered features under Apple Intelligence, including Image Playground, Genmoji, and advanced Siri capabilities. The update also enhances security and privacy through Private Cloud Compute, which processes some AI tasks in the cloud while maintaining user data protection.
