Apple has officially announced the release of their Apple MacBook Pro laptops powered by their new M2 Pro and M2 Max chips. On top of the M2 powered 13-inch display version, Apple is now including M2 Pro and M2 Max powered 14-inch and 16-inch Liquid Retina XDR display variants as well with pricing starting from RM8799.
As mentioned in our post about the M2 Pro and M2 Max, there are significant increases in both performance and energy efficiency and the MacBook Pro is no exception. This means that the laptop can now go up to 22 hours on a single charge but in addition it also supports WiFi 6E, macOS Ventura, a 1080p FaceTime HD Camera, 6-speaker sound and studio-quality mics.
Other connections include 3x Thunderbolt 3 ports, 1x SDXC card reader and MagSafe 3 charging. The M2 Pro and M2 Max equipped MacBook Pro laptops are expected to be available from 3 February 2023 but you can start ordering from 19 January 2023. Pricing for the MacBook Pro laptops are as follows but you can add on more memory or a different chip if you add on some more money:

- Apple MacBook Pro: 14-inch Liquid Retina XDR display, M2 Max, 12-Core CPU, 30-Core GPU, 32GB Unified Memory, 1TB SSD Storage ~ from RM13199
- Apple MacBook Pro: 16-inch Liquid Retina XDR display, M2 Pro, 12-Core CPU, 19-Core GPU, 16GB Unified Memory, 512GB SSD Storage ~ from RM10799
- Apple MacBook Pro: 16-inch Liquid Retina XDR display, M2 Pro, 12-Core CPU, 19-Core GPU, 16GB Unified Memory, 1TB SSD Storage ~ from RM11599
- Apple MacBook Pro: 16-inch Liquid Retina XDR display, M2 Max, 12-Core CPU, 38-Core GPU, 32GB Unified Memory, 1TB SSD Storage ~ from RM14799
