For those who want a good smartwatch or smart band, now could be the time to get one. Apple has announced that the Apple Watch Pride Collection is available in Malaysia. The collection consists of new variants of the Apple Watch Series 8 and Apple Watch SE.
On the Apple Malaysia website, you can now purchase the Apple Watch Series 8 Pride Edition and Apple Watch SE Pride Edition. According to Tim Cook, this collection was made to support the LGBTQ+ community. It's confirmed that units with the special edition band will start shipping next week on 30 May 2023 (Tuesday). While Apple didn't disclose the official shipping date for the Apple Watch SE Pride Edition, it should also ship on the same day.
As a reminder, the Apple Watch Series 8 and Apple Watch SE have a starting price of RM1899 and RM1199, respectively. But if you don't plan to get a new unit, you can also buy the Pride Edition sports band separately for RM199. This is great if you want to pair new band with an older Apple Watch. The 41mm band is compatible with older 38mm, 40mm or 41mm Apple Watch models. On the other hand, the 45mm band is for 42mm, 44mm, 45mm and 49mm Apple Watch variants.
