It seems that a statement from techradar.com hints that a report from Strategy Analytics hints that Apple, OPPO, and vivo holds the top spot for the highest 5G smartphone market share in Q1 2021 at 30.2%, 16.1%, and 14.5% respectively. With that in mind, we can expect 5G capable smartphones to gain popularity as 5G coverage improves with time.
To go into more detail, it seems that 5G capable smartphones saw a 458% increase compared to last year’s Q1 5G smartphone shipments. As of now, the most popular 5G smartphone goes to the Apple iPhone 12 5G but we won’t be surprised if the title goes to another phone in the future.
