If you were purchasing an item on Shopee today, you may have noticed a new payment method - Apple Pay. Granted, Apple Pay is not official in Malaysia but this is hinting at its arrival. Or at least that's what we think.
Should it be true, then the Apple Pay momentum could happen in the next few days. According to sources, Apple Pay appeared on AmBank's platform by accident and it was the first clue. The feature first made its debut back in 2014 but has never set foot in Malaysia until now. Like Samsung Pay, Apple Pay lets the iPhone user link a debit and credit card to the Apple Wallet app.
There's no word from Apple Malaysia, Shopee and AmBank on the matter. So until then, we just have to wait and sit tight to see if Apple Pay launches here or not. Stay tuned for more trending tech news at TechNave.com.
