Apple Vision Pro 2 already in the works, but won't be out till at least 2028

Not scared of the Apple Vision Pro's ~RM16k price tag but want to see the tech mature before committing? Then you're going to be waiting for a long time. It's reported that Apple is already working on the next Pro model, but it won't be out anytime soon.

According to Mark Gurman's latest Power On newsletter, the Apple Vision team is working on the second-gen Vision Pro headset to make it smaller. The reduction in mass is also expected to result in a lighter headset. On top of that, Apple will allegedly use a different material for the build quality, which should reduce the weight even more. However, it's suggested the new Pro model won't be out "before the 2025 and 2027 time frame", which means a 2028 launch window is the earliest we can expect.

Interestingly, the source also claimed that Apple is working on two other models for the Apple Vision series. One would be a lower-end model and was hinted at when a patent for it was spotted in June. Another would be a high-end model, implied to be even better than the Apple Vision Pro. Tentatively, let's call them the Apple Vision and Apple Vision Ultra, based on Apple's preferred naming convention. We can expect these models to turn up first before the Vision Pro 2.

Would this Apple Vision Pro 2 be a more enticing option for you? Or do you prefer having a low-end Apple Vision spatial computer (as Apple insists on calling it)? What's a price range you would be comfortable with? Let us know in the comments below and stay tuned to TechNave for more news like this.
