Apple Watch Series 4 announced starting from ~RM1651 with more focus on heart monitoring and others

Today, not only Apple has revealed the new iPhone XS, XS Max and the XR, but as well as the Apple Watch Series 4. At the core compared with its predecessor, the new wearable is focused more on making you living a healthy lifestyle and acts as a guardian angel (figuratively speaking) to prevent you from falling. Here's what went down at Apple's annual event on the Watch Series 4.

First things first, the Watch Series 4 retains most of the features such as having GPS, Bluetooth, eSIM, waterproof, reminders, health tracking system and others. It will be available in both 44mm and 40mm, compatible with various straps even with previous generations. So what's new, then? Well, they completely redesigned the whole user interface and has three new heart monitor features. Check out the details below from their presentation!

A complete overhaul of the user interface, showcasing every detail you need to know on the display which can be customized

These new animations look is meant for the user to remain calm and be in sync with the animation for breathing

A new chipset called the S4, it's a 64-bit dual-core and two times faster than its predecessor. The accelerometer gyroscope is improved too, with 2x dynamic range, up to 32 g-forces and 8x faster

The new Fall Detector feature, this watch can actually detect if you're about to fall! Moreover, if you've fallen down and did not respond, the watch will automatically call for emergency services

New heart detection for low heart rate and Electrocardiogram (ECG) to detect your heart condition

To perform your ECG level, just place your finger on the crown for 30 seconds for the watch to analyse

Of course, it will be running on the latest watchOS 5

$399 (~RM1651) without cellular, $499 (~RM2065) with cellular, it will be available on 21 September 2018 onward but no word on if Malaysia will be part of the first wave or not
