Apple adds more language to its Siri support, will Bahasa Melayu be next?

Recently, Apple released multiple features in its public beta version of iOS 17, iPadOS17 and macOS Sonoma. In this new update, you will have a bilingual Siri for your convenience.

As of now, Siri supports bilingual queries in several languages such as English mixed with Hindi, Telegu, Punjabi, Kannada, or Marathi. This update is great for India-based Apple fans, as they speak a mix of languages daily. However, this multilingual feature has been introduced by Google Assistant in 2018 and Amazon in 2019. So Apple is a little behind on this feature.

Moreover, Apple has also improved its dual-SIM feature. Now, you can sort SMS per SIM, separate ringtones for each SIM and choose your preferred SIM when calling an unknown number. Also, the “full-page screenshots” feature now let's you save screenshots as an image or a PDF. And finally, you can also sign into Apple ID using your phone number instead of an email ID on iOS 17, iPadOS 17, and macOS Sonoma.

That said, it would be interesting if Siri gets multilingual support in BM. Since there is a large number of Malay speakers in SEA, it is not unlikely if Apple decided to release the BM version soon.
