As technology continues to advance exponentially, we may be in for a treat in 2026. According to DigitalChat, phone enthusiasts may see 2nm chipsets in both Android and iOS phones.
In 2026, there could be a good chance that the Apple A20 chip will use TSMC's 2nm SoC architecture. On the other hand, Qualcomm may not be that far off as well, coming up with not one, but two chips - the SM8950 and SM8945. It's safe to say that it will be the Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 3 series, one as the standard unit and the other as the Snapdragon 8s Gen 5 (name placeholder) as the less powerful unit.
At the same time, DigitalChat also mentioned that in the second half of the year will be the SM8850+SM8845. It's very vague as to what it means, but whatever it is, the leakster claimed it is a new approach, so it could mean anything. Anyway, perhaps it's best to take it with a grain of salt and wait to see what Qualcomm announces.
If true, Apple's upcoming 2nm chip will likely appear on the iPhone 18 series. As for Qualcomm, several Chinese brands are definitely going after it, such as Samsung, Xiaomi, OPPO and others. Until then, stay tuned for more trending tech news at TechNave.com.
