Apple announces new Apple Pencil with USB-C, priced at RM399

Today, Apple introduced a new Apple Pencil with USB-C for iPad users. It's priced at RM399, lower than the Apple Pencil 2nd Gen and 1st Gen at RM599 and RM479 respectively. However, the availability for the Malaysian market is not here yet. 

According to Apple, the new Apple Pencil offers the same advanced pixel-perfect accuracy, low latency, and tilt sensitivity. The same features that are on the Apple Pencil 1st and 2nd generations. The new Apple Pencil also works with iPadOS features like Scribble, Quick Note, and when collaborating with others in Freeform. When used with M2 models of iPad Pro, the new Apple Pencil supports hover, allowing users to sketch and illustrate with even greater precision.

The USB-C port is hidden with a sliding cap at its tail to charge the Apple Pencil. It can also be magnetically attached to an iPad and will go into sleep mode to preserve battery life. The new Apple Pencil works with all iPad Models that have a USB-C port, you can check the list below for your reference:

  • iPad Pro 12.9-inch (3rd, 4th, 5th and 6th Gen)
  • iPad Pro 11-inch (1st, 2nd, 3rd and 4th Gen)
  • iPad Air (4th and 5th Gen)
  • iPad mini (6th Gen)
  • iPad (10th Gen)
