A foldable Apple device is as good as confirmed. While we don't know when it's going to launch, officially patents prove that the device is real. In fact, Apple was recently awarded 45 new patents and one of them is related to foldable devices.

According to Patently Apple, the Cupertino company is working on a method that will protect foldable devices. Specifically, the patent describes a heating method to keep certain parts of a foldable display warm. The idea is to prevent it from cracking when folding, which can happen if the display is too stiff from cold weather.

Besides that, Apple was also awarded a patent for haptic feedback on a MacBook's keyboard. But why would anyone want to have that on a physical keyboard? The only reason we could think of is that Apple could be working on a MacBook that has a virtual keyboard. An example would be the Lenovo Yoga Book, which has a secondary screen that can double as a virtual keyboard.

There are a few more patents granted to Apple by the USPTO, so we can expect new technologies and features in the coming months. Having said that, what's a feature that you would like to see the most? Share your comments below, and remember to stay tuned to TechNave for more news like this.
