While the Android phone brands are quite ahead with their foldable devices, Apple has yet to enter the game in this aspect. However, that could change as a new patent has been discovered, showcasing an Apple Watch with a foldable dual-screen display.
The patent was published today (20 March) by the U.S. Patent Office, giving us a good idea of what a foldable Apple Watch could look like. From the looks of it, it could add more functions, particularly with a foldable display. With the increased of the screen size, this could allow more flexibility and potentially make it more independent without the need for an iPhone around for a while.

If possible, the dual-screen display may have enough space for video calling, camera usage, web browsing, messaging, and even visiting your social media. On top of that, the display could be extended in a few methods, such as a sliding, hinged, or pivoting component. Of course, not all patented devices will see the light at the end of the tunnel, as it's a concept that may or may not be in development.
Still, one can dream about a foldable watch. Until then, we have to wait and see when Apple will actually announce this new tech gadget hardware in the future.
