Apple could be working on an AirPods Pro... Lite?

With true wireless earphones continuing to trend, it seems that Apple will look to expand its AirPods range. In the latest piece of news, Apple is allegedly going to launch a new AirPods Pro Lite later this year. The company has enlisted the help of USI (Taiwan), Amkor (US), JCET (China), and Murata (Japan) to manufacture it.

According to Digitimes, the AirPods Pro Lite would be an entry-level model. That's weird because it would make more sense if it were named AirPods Lite in that case. In our opinion, if Apple really chooses to make a product with this name, it's more likely that the model will sit in between the standard AirPods and AirPods Pro. Regardless, the new model is expected to release around mid-2020, if things go as planned.

Of course, with the coronavirus outbreak still a global threat, it's possible that the production for the new AirPods Pro Lite could be delayed. With that said, would you prefer Apple's new true wireless earphone to be an entry-level model or something in between its two existing ones?
