According to Bloomberg, Mark Gurman said that Apple is testing a new iPhone Air with a target release date of early 2027. The device could use an A20 chipset built on Apple's new 2nm processor, so it could feature better efficiency. Let's take a closer look.
Apple could address the complaints for the previous gen
To recap, the iPhone Air is the thinnest smartphone offered by Apple. Despite having an attractive design, sales of the iPhone Air have reportedly been disappointing, leaving other manufacturers hesitant to offer similar products.
Additionally, the device is believed to feature dual cameras, compared to the original device, which only had a single camera. There are also improvements to the battery, which is now larger. Both of these changes will address two of the biggest complaints of iPhone Air owners. For instance, the updated iPhone Air could get an Ultra Wide lens in addition to the Wide lens to make it a better value for the money.
Apple needs to step up their game
Personally, we feel it doesn't make sense for a flagship device to have only one camera and a battery that can't last all day, especially in Malaysia. Even Android manufacturers like Tecno have already offered slim devices with large batteries and dual cameras this year.
