In an attempt to reduce reliance on Samsung, Apple had been working closely with Chinese display manufacturer BOE Technology Group to have their displays certified for future Apple devices. Not only that, but they have also noted that Apple had also been rigorously testing the manufacturer’s flexible OLED panels as well based on a statement by nikkei.com.

Chances are, we could see Apple entering the foldable display smartphone market in the future. As of now, there is no official information such as the Malaysia release date, tech specs as well as which Apple device will come with the aforementioned display made by BOE Technology Group.

Do take every bit of information with a grain of salt as there was no official confirmation made by Apple as of now. What do you think of Apple’s attempts to source their own display manufacturer? Let us know on our Facebook page and for more updates like this stay tuned to Technave.com.
