Today, Apple has released some new updates to Logic Pro for Mac and iPad. They are new tools aimed at improving music production and workflows, so if that's your jam, read below on what to expect.

In its newsroom, one of the notable additions is the "Flashback Capture" feature, which enables users to retrieve audio and MIDI performances even if they forgot to initiate recording. This function operates via a key command or a customisable control bar button and supports looped sections by organising each pass into separate takes. There is also an updated "Stem Splitter" tool, offering improved audio fidelity and now supporting the separation of guitar and piano tracks into individual stems.

Next, there are new sound packs for Logic Pro, including "Dancefloor Rush," which provides over 400 dynamic loops and drum kits. Mac users gain access to exclusive packs like "Magnetic Imperfections," emulating analogue tape textures, and a collection by guitarist Tosin Abasi, featuring progressive metal guitar sounds. And then on the iPad, it has a new "Learn MIDI" feature, allowing users to assign controls on MIDI devices to various parameters within Logic Pro.

Logic Pro 11.2 for Mac is available as a free update for existing users and can be purchased for RM999.90 on the Mac App Store. Logic Pro 2.2 for iPad is also available as a free update, with new users offered a subscription at RM22.90 per month or RM199 per year, including a one-month free trial.
