With the iPhone 15 Pro and 15 Pro Max, Apple went back to titanium frames in smartphones. However, the iPhone 17 Pro and 17 Pro Max replace this frame with another material. So, what should you know about it?
A cooler build for a better performance
For your information, the bodies of both models return to using aerospace-grade aluminium. According to Apple, this is because the iPhone 17 Pro series is now a new unibody frame carved from a single block of aluminium.
Moreover, when paired with a new cooling chamber, this aluminium frame will provide 20x better cooling performance than titanium metal.
However, if you prefer the titanium body, the iPhone Air is a new model that retains the titanium body frame. Alternatively, you can also buy last year's iPhone 16 Pro model.
