In 2023, Microsoft launched Phone Link on iPhones to make it more user-friendly with Windows devices. Most recently, a quick file-sharing feature like Airdrop has been included. So, what should you know about it?

For your information, if you have already set up a Phone Link between your iPhone and Windows device, with the new update you can directly select the file you want to share, press share and choose to share to Link to Windows. The Windows device will display a notification that the file transfer process from iPhone to device is complete and ready to open in a folder.

Moreover, you can share files from your Windows PC directly to your iPhone. To do this, select any file, press share and select Share to My Phone and Windows will send the file to your active device with the Phone Link connection. This feature appears to be limited to Windows Insider users using Phone Link version 1.24112.89.0, Link to Windows iOS app version 1.24112.73 and iPhones running iOS 16 and above.
