Apple is delaying SharePlay in the upcoming iOS 15 update

Sorry, Apple fans. Looks like the anticipated SharePlay feature on iOS 15 will be delayed until further notice. The Apple development team just shared the news on its webpage confirming that SharePlay is now disabled in not only iOS 15 but as well as iPadOS 15, tvOS 15 and macOS Monterey beta 6 versions.

Although it is now delayed, the development team is still looking into releasing SharePlay again in future developer beta releases for the public later this fall. The development team are also thrilled to see what the developer community have come up with for SharePlay but didn't give any reason why it is delayed. Perhaps it's just not quite ready yet as per Apple's standard.

To recap, SharePlay is an upcoming way of sharing and watching a video together across multiple Apple devices. For instance, you and your friends can use FaceTime to watch something together such as TV shows, movies, as well as listening to music and sharing other things that you're browsing.

Personally, it's a great way to interact with each other during the lockdown. Given the cases in Malaysia isn't improving anytime soon, we hope SharePlay will be released as soon as possible. Until then, stay tuned for more trending tech news at TechNave.com.
