Every smartphone brand has an Instagram page where they show off the latest smartphone's photo quality online. In Apple's case, the company usually posts photos that are #ShotOniPhone by users instead of themselves. So to further promote iPhone users' photography skills, Apple is organising a macro photography Shot on iPhone Challenge.

The challenge has already begun and it will end on 16 February 2022. All you have to do is use either an iPhone 13 or iPhone 13 Pro Max to do a macro photo shot and post it on your Instagram, Twitter and Weibo account. Don't also forget to put the hashtags #ShotoniPhone and #iPhonemacrochallenge, the iPhone model that you used and tag @apple too. As for Weibo users, please use the hashtag #ShotoniPhone# and #iPhonemacrochallenge# or the localised #iPhone微距摄影挑战#.

You may submit your images in their highest resolution via email to [email protected], using the file format ‘firstname_lastname_macro_iPhonemodel.’ Subject line must be: ‘Shot on iPhone Macro Challenge Submission.’ Photos can be straight from the camera, edited through Apple’s editing tools in the Photos app, or edited with third-party software.

According to Apple, a panel of expert judges from the industry and Apple will review worldwide submissions and select 10 winning photos. The lucky winners will be announced in April and the winning photos will be celebrated in a gallery on Apple Newsroom, apple.com/sg, Apple Instagram (@apple), and other official Apple accounts. They may also appear in digital campaigns, Apple Store locations, billboards, or in a public photo exhibition.
