In an unexpected move, Apple is now selling the MagSafe Charging Case (USB‑C) for AirPods Pro (2nd Gen) as a separate accessory. So if you have always wanted to get a new USB-C case without getting a new pair of AirPods, now is the season.
The MagSafe Charging Case (USB‑C) won't appear directly on the Apple Malaysia website, though. So you will have to search for it through the search engine on the store page. The official price listed is RM449 and will take 2 to 3 weeks to ship out, so that's going to take a while but it would probably make it in time for Christmas at the earliest.
For those who don't know, the AirPods Pro 2 (2nd Gen) was first released in 2022 and it looks identical to the newest variant with the USB-C charging case. However, one thing to note is that the newer AirPods Pro 2 has an updated H2 chip which can stream lossless audio from Apple's upcoming Vision Pro headset.
It's too bad that we can't buy the AirPods Pro (2nd Gen) separately but that goes the same for every tech brand in the market. You can enter the official web portal right over here to get started.
