With Apple Intelligence nearing its launch with iOS 18.1, Apple is offering up to USD1 million or ~RM4.39 million to anyone who can find a hole in the Private Cloud Compute that supports the Apple Intelligence features. For reference, Apple’s Private Cloud Compute runs on the tech giant’s silicon servers, which Apple dubs the “most advanced security architecture ever deployed for cloud AI compute at scale”.

According to Forbes, Apple is so confident about its security that it is offering anyone the chance to find vulnerabilities in the system. On 24 October, Apple made its resources publicly available and invited all security and privacy researchers or anyone with interest and a technical curiosity” to find holes in the platform.

For major holes, which it categorises as allowing “remote attack on request data”, Apple is offering USD1 million or ~RM4.39 million. Meanwhile, for access to a user’s request data or sensitive information outside the trust boundary, Apple is offering USD250,000 or ~RM1.09 million.

Besides that, for attacks requiring a “privileged position”, which is essentially access to someone’s iPhone, Apple is offering USD150,000 or ~RM656,934.
