Apple is reportedly gearing up a bid for the streaming rights to the English Premier League (EPL) which is soon coming up for renewal. The deal may cost the tech giant up to USD250 million or ~RM1.08 billion per year.

As reported by Daily Mail, Apple is looking to increase its live sports coverage on Apple TV+. Currently, the tech giant already has a 10-year contract to broadcast North America’s Major League Soccer (MLS) beginning next month.

Previously, Apple also tried to get streaming rights for other major sports in North America, including Major League Baseball (MLB) and National Football League (NFL). In fact, the company was in advanced negotiations with the latter for Sunday Ticket but that deal ultimately went to YouTube.

Of course, do take this information with a grain of salt as nothing is confirmed as of yet. What do you guys think? Would you like to start watching EPL matches through Apple TV+? Share your thoughts with us in the comments below and stay tuned to TechNave for more trending tech news.
