Apple just became the world's first $3 trillion company

Over the years, Apple is becoming richer and it's already one of the trillion-dollar club members. Today, it has been reported that the company has become the world's first $3 trillion organisation based on market capitalisation. A total value of Apple's outstanding shares, this milestone happened after the company's stock price rose over 40% in 2020.

Interestingly, these strong financial results happened throughout the pandemic, when people started to get more devices and online services to work and study from home. Apple is forecasting to top $118 billion in revenue in this current quarter, which could surpass its all-time quarterly record of $111.4 billion last year. Just for your information, Apple became a $2 trillion-dollar company just over 16 months ago and less than three and a half years after entering the trillion-dollar club.

Speaking of when entering the trillion-dollar club for the first time in 2018, Apple CEO Tim Cook shared a memo to the staff that "the achievement was not the most important measure of our success," but the "financial returns are simply the result of Apple's innovation, putting our products and customers first, and always staying true to our values,".

In 2022, we are expecting more Apple products and rumours have it that there could be five new Macs, a redesigned iPad Pro, a rugged Apple Watch version, AirPods Pro 2nd gen, an AR/VR headset and many more.
