The upcoming iPhone 15 series by Apple will reportedly feature a more power-efficient OLED panel thanks to a new display driver chip. The chip, based on a 28nm process is set to be less power-hungry and in turn, makes the iPhone 15 series have better battery life.

As reported by the Taiwan-based publication Economic Daily News, the new display driver chip would be replacing the 40nm display chip found on the iPhone 14 series. However, other than the new display chip, the next-generation iPhones won’t have many improvements in the display department.

That is not necessarily a bad thing as the iPhone 14 series' display, especially the iPhone 14 Pro series are one of the best panels available in the market currently. Besides that, just like the iPhone 14 Pro series, the iPhone 15 Pro series are touted to retain the same Dynamic Island style notch.

Of course, do take this information with a grain of salt as nothing has been confirmed as of yet. So, what do you guys think of a more power-efficient display on the iPhone? Share your thoughts with us in the comments below and stay tuned to TechNave for more trending tech news such as this.
