The reliable tipster on everything Apple, Ming-Chi Kuo has claimed that the company would be releasing a redesigned HomePod in the first half of 2024, which includes a 7-inch display. This update to the product would allegedly be part of Apple’s “revamped smart home strategy”.
Writing on Medium, Kuo said that the HomePod’s display would signal a deeper integration with Apple’s other hardware products. Tianma has been touted as being the sole supplier of the 7-inch display.
Apple has long been rumoured to integrate a screen into the HomePod. Previously in May 2021, we reported on an iMessage and FaceTime-enabled HomePod in the works with a screen were allegedly in the works.
