It's no mystery that Apple iPhones are priced expensively but that all changed when they introduced the first-gen iPhone SE back in 2016. It may not have all the high-end features, but it was popular with casual phone users who wanted a phone that just works. With the recent released of the iPhone SE 2020, it proved the concept works once again and Apple might actually expand that lineup.

According to MauriQHD, Apple is planning to expand the iPhone SE 2020 with another variant called the iPhone SE Plus. Should the news be true, it'll appear alongside the upcoming iPhone 12 series this year. It's also reported to be using an A13 Bionic chipset, a full-screen panel and a side-mounted fingerprint scanner.

On top of that, the rumoured news also add on that the iPhone SE 3 version will continue if the lineup is successful. We should take this piece of news with a grain of salt but tech specs-wise, the third version will still use the same A13 Bionic chipset and no 5G support.

Obviously, Apple is looking at profiting from the SE lineup but these are all speculations. Nevertheless, an iPhone SE is certainly a strategy that works. Until then, stay tuned for more trending gadget news at Technave.com.
