Apple might keep the notch for its devices till the iPhone 13 series

The iPhone 11's notch is quite prominent but the iPhone 13's notch could be half its size

Apple has never been shy of being behind on trends. In a year where people start seeing under-display cameras, the Cupertino company insists on sticking with the notch design for its iPhones. At least, that's could be the case for the next two generations of the iPhone, a source claims.

According to Ice Universe, the iPhone 13 will continue using the notch design, except it'll be a much shorter one. He made a simple drawing to illustrate the difference in the size of the notches for the iPhone 12 and iPhone 13, suggesting that at least both series will still have notches. Judging from the alleged size of the iPhone 13, the front camera is going to be rather small too.

Now, Ice Universe is a pretty reliable source as far as rumours go. But it's way too early for Apple to even have a prototype of the iPhone 13, so this is at most a rumour he's heard from someone within Apple. In other words, plans are still subjected to change and we could still see an iPhone 13 series next year that is notch-free. However, judging from most renders of the iPhone 12, it's definitely going to have a notch.

Of course, this is highly speculative so please don't take our word for it. Having said that, are you okay with the iPhone 13 having a notch, or would you prefer Apple to go with an all-screen display?
