Based on a report by 9to5mac.com, Apple analyst Ming-Chi Kuo claims that Apple could be planning to release an iPhone that features both Face ID as well as an in-display Touch ID functionality in the year 2021. It is best to note that Apple had ditched the Touch ID functionality on the iPhone X and subsequent iPhones that came after it.

Furthermore, the analyst also mentioned that the 2021 iPhones will feature the same ultrasonic fingerprint sensor made by Qualcomm which can also be found on Samsung Galaxy S10 series devices. As of now, Apple is still polishing the under-display fingerprint sensor technology so that it will be ready for release by then.

That being said, there is no official information in regards to the Malaysia release date, tech specs, features as well as local pricing. Would the inclusion of the in-display fingerprint sensor be a good reason to purchase an iPhone in 2021? Let us know on our Facebook page and for more updates like this, stay tuned to TechNave.com.
