Have you had to take a video call while doing something else? This can be annoying, as you would often have to end the call to do so. For WhatsApp, the solution is to implement picture-in-picture (PiP) mode. Well, this feature is now officially available to iOS users.

If you check the Apple App Store, you'll find that WhatsApp has just received its latest update (version 23.3.77). As you can see from the version history, the new update adds support for PiP mode. That means you can now take video calls while doing other things, like checking your email or navigating with Waze.

Besides that, the latest version lets you add captions when sending documents. This feature is already available on the PC app but is now also out for Android and iOS devices. The new update also lets you set longer group subjects and descriptions, as well as use personalised avatars as stickers or your profile picture.

Honestly, the best feature of this update is the PiP mode. The others are just small quality-of-life improvements and aren't all that important. Is there a feature that you think WhatsApp needs to implement? Share your thoughts in the comments and stay tuned to TechNave for more news like this.
