The Apple AirPods have been popular since the first model was launched. With that said, it is no doubt that Apple has gained more confidence when it comes to making audio products. Rumours have come out earlier saying that the tech giant will be launching over-ear headphones, but it has been delayed as the pandemic strikes. Today, a new patent has surfaced on the Internet hinting that the Apple over-ear headphones could have rotation sensors to bring better user experience.

According to the patent, the Apple over-ear headphones will automatically detect the orientation and adjust their output to match. The feature was inspired by the users who would wear their headphones at different angles. While not wearing headphones like how "normally" headphones are worn, it could be tricky for users to execute the touch-based controls. Therefore, the feature is created to match the angle in order to detect the gestures performed by the users.

The headphones were expected to come with Apple Airpods Pro's features including automatic pairing, auto-pause and resume, and active noise cancellation. Other than that, it is also reported that it will be launched in two different models, with one being a premium option and another being a lite and sports version. There are also rumours suggesting that the headphones will allow users to switch to different ear cups with the magnetic attachment.
