In order to elevate the AI experience in China, Apple has decided to partner with Alibaba to use its AI technology to support Apple Intelligence in China. This was confirmed by Alibaba's chairman, Joe Tsai at the World Government Summit in Dubai.

According to Reuters, Apple had met up with some Chinese tech leaders before agreeing to do business with Alibaba. This includes Baidu, ByteDance and Tencent. At the moment, Apple is still continuing its partnership with Baidu on some Apple Intelligence features for iPhones in the Chinese market. Baidu had no response on this matter when Reuters requested a comment.

In the US, Apple is working with OpenAI to combine both Apple Intelligence and ChatGPT. However, it is unknown if Alibaba would be going in the same footsteps, said Tsai during the event. That said, Apple and Alibaba have submitted the necessary materials to the Chinese authorities for regulatory approval.
