Not even a week in and the iPhone 15 has a rocky start so far. Previously, we mentioned how the Pro variants are having overheating issues. Today, Apple received complaints about its FineWoven cases. Thankfully, the company has a solution for it.

For your information, Apple has sent copies of the FineWoven guide to retail stores this week. The guide writes “You may get questions from customers about the appearance of the new FineWoven material, how it wears over time, and how to care for it”. Long-time Apple users might notice that this guide is the same as Apple’s support document on “how to clean your Apple products.”

In addition, Apple added that the FineWoven tech is made of luxurious microtwill, with a soft yet durable suede-like texture. Durability-wise, the company reminded customers that the FineWoven cases' appearance will change, and it will wear out over time. Hence, you shouldn’t be too surprised if your case looks different from what it should be.

Moreover, the company explained that some scratches may diminish over time. Besides that, MagSafe accessories on the FineWoven Case with MagSafe will leave slight imprints. The same applies to leather and many other materials.

That said, this is how your FineWoven accessories should be cleaned:

  • Dip a lint-free cloth into clean water.
  • Wring out until only slightly damp.
  • Rub the cloth on the FineWoven surface gently for 1 minute.

We have yet to confirm how the FineWoven tech or cases will be for the Malaysian release. However, it is safe to assume that we will be getting the same cases as the US market.
