Apple has never been a company to shy away from new things. While some of them are always the best ideas, Apple's latest idea seems like a fun one. The company has released a new short video filmed entirely on an iPhone in a vertical format.

Apple has mentioned that the vertical video was shot by Academy Award winner Damien Chazelle on an iPhone 11 Pro. Even the music is from Grammy Award winner Lorne Balfe, so the production lead is already quite stacked. Named "The Stunt Double", the short video contains a mix of a spy movie, depictions of the wild west, an Indiana Jones-like segment, and more. Some of the scenes are shot in black-and-white, which shows how well the iPhone 11 Pro can do with it.

Besides the short movie, Apple also released a separate video where Chazelle talks about his inspiration in making the video. The video also had people talk about the different techniques that need to be employed and the things that a director has to consider when it comes to using a vertical format.

It's quite cool to see a video of such quality shot using the iPhone 11 Pro and in a format that we're not used to. But what do you think about it? Is it something you'd like to try? Let us know on our Facebook page and stay tuned to TechNave.com for more tech news.
