As smartphones continue to expand in terms of screen sizewe got some news that Apple is preparing to go beyond what they have done, or any smartphone brands for that matter. Thanks to Apple for popularizing the method of putting the notch that increases the screen ratio, which Android brands picked up afterwards.

Currently, the maximum screen size of the iPhone is 6.5-inches and according to Apple analyst Ming-Chi Kuo, he has a new report that Apple plans to have a 6.7-inch iPhone in 2020 to meet more consumers' demand. That 0.2-inch upgrade doesn't seem a lot, but 6.7-inches is bigger than you think. In fact, it almost sounds like they have found a way to have a true fullscreen experience (#fingerscrossed). But then again, these numbers can be changed again in the future so take it with a pinch of salt.

On top of that, his report also mentioned two other iPhones. The 2020 standard iPhone shall be 5.4-inches while the iPhone XR successor stays at 6.1-inches. All iPhones will have OLED displays and only the 6.1-inch model won't get 5G connectivity, which Qualcomm will be the primary supplier of the 5G modem. Then by 2021, 5G should be already be mainstream by then and he believes that all the new iPhone will be able to support 5G with its own 5G modem.

There are only three months left until we get to see Apple's new 2019 iPhone lineup. Until then, stay tuned for more Apple news at TechNave.com.
