Thanks to the COVID-19 virus, the disease has successfully slowed down and cancelled most of the events. The latest one was the 2020 Mobile World Congress and there are some rumours about the Tokyo Olympics shutting down as well. Anyhoo, Apple's annual developers conference, the WWDC won't be moved by the issue and will be sticking around on the schedule.
According to @theapplehub, the Twitter post claimed that the WWDC should take place in the first week of June (1st - 5th) and it will be held in San Jose McEnery Convention Centre. For those who don't know, the WWDC usually happens every second quarter of the year and it's the time where Apple will introduce the latest iOS, iPadOS, macOS, watchOS and tvOS versions to the press. In rare cases, sometimes they will also reveal new devices but not the iPhone series, of course.

Plot twist: the iPhone 9/SE 2 we’ve been talking about for months is actually a new iPod Touch
— Apple Hub (@theapplehub) February 26, 2020
Speaking of new devices, the much-rumoured iPhone 9 or iPhone SE 2 could also turn out to be a new iPod Touch instead. This is coming from @theapplehub's second Tweet after the aforementioned WWDC, so whether if this is legit or not, let's take it with a grain of salt. For all we know, it could be just a joke judging by the comments (lol).
Apple has yet to give an official announcement of their WWDC 2020 so until then, stay tuned for more Apple news at TechNave.com.
