Apple has long been rumoured to manufacture a new 15-inch MacBook Air, its first ‘Air’ laptop in that size. Now, it looks like the product is almost ready for release as its currently undergoing compatibility tests with third-party App Store applications.
According to the developer logs shared with Bloomberg, the 15-inch MacBook Air will feature the M2 SoC rather than M3. Specifically, the processor will have an 8-core CPU and 10-core GPU paired with 8GB of RAM, presumably for the entry-level variant.
Besides that, the 15-inch MacBook Air is touted to have the same display resolution as the 14-inch Macbook Pro. Given the slightly larger size of the former, it would mean that the display is not as sharp.
Tipster Mark Gurman claimed that the 15-inch MacBook Air will launch either sometime this year or early next year. Besides this new 15-inch laptop, Apple is also set to launch an updated 13-inch MacBook Air, an entry-level 13-inch MacBook Pro, a refreshed 24-inch iMac and the Mac Pro.
Of course, do take this with a grain of salt as nothing is confirmed as of yet. Well, for the latest development on this and for more trending tech news, make sure to stay tuned to TechNave!
